Lambda News Briefs

With funding for the US Department of Energy, Lambda has developed the VariDry roll-to-roll VFM dryer for processing lithium ion battery electrodes. Foil up to 200mm wide is continuously passed through the compact 1 meter long processing chamber for either drying wet cast slurry more than 5x faster than conventional dryers or removing residual moisture at least 10x faster than conventional vacuum dryers. ReelDry can be used to either replace existing dryers all together or added as a “booster” to reduce conventional coating line length.
